Natural Resources Department
The Natural Resources Department has the oversight of the Forest, Fisheries, Fire prevention and Agriculture.
Our program provides seasonal jobs for approximately 10 to 15 Forestry Technicians a year. We also have a Tribal Youth Initiative that mentors and trains up to 6 of our Tribal Youth annually. We have an open view of the resources that our land provides. Our program is dedicated to providing a solid future for our children and the generations to come to have the same natural resources in their lives.
Wood Cutting Permits are required on the Round Valley Indian Reservation. A wood cutting permit may be obtained at the Natural Resources Department during office hours. Wood cut by Tribal Members on Reservation Land is for personal use only and not to be sold.
Burn Permits will also be enforced, please contact the Fire Prevention Technicians for more information.
